LWHS is a professional dance studio, founded by principals Lyn Wilson and Heather Shepherdson.
The Arts Garage studios opened in 2007 (Hull Road, Hedon) followed by The Arts Garage 2, in 2014 (Tokenspire Business Park, Beverley). Our third location has recently opened in Cottingham Civic Hall.
Within The Arts Garage is the LWHS School of Dance, established 1985, (formally known as the Lyn Wilson School of Dance) offering classes for children/students from age three, as well as parent and toddler classes from age 18 months.
LWHS offers RAD & IDTA Syllabus, classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Street/Commercial, Contemporary & Musical Theatre, Acrobatic Arts alongside Teacher Training, Shows & Competitions, as well as many other performance opportunities (Dance Proms, Pantomimes, Youth Dance etc).
LWHS now boasts three locations, each offering a vast array of classes led by professional and passionate teachers with a love for the industry.
The Arts Garage
Hedon
At our Hedon studio, classes run daily in all the above listed dance styles, taking place in our three state of the art studios. We offer the opportunity to take up more hours/unlimited classes via our Dance Programme and Dance Deals. Our Hedon Studio also hosts our very own PINK Dancewear shop for all your dance needs and our Dance Break Cafe for both parents and students.
The Arts Garage 2
Beverley
At our Beverley studio, located at Tokenspire business park, classes run on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Classes start from nursery age in a variety of styles such as Ballet, Tap, Acro, Modern, Musical Theatre and Lyrical. Our Beverley studio also hosts our second PINK dancewear shop for all your dance needs.
Cottingham Civic Hall
Cottingham
Our most recent addition to the LWHS family is our Saturday classes in the upstairs studio of Civic Hall, Cottingham. Here we offer Ballet, Tap and Modern classes from ages 3 - 13, with opportunities for shows, festivals and much more!
